LETTTERS is the music of multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer Robert Martin. In 2011, LETTTERS began experimenting with combining traditional singer/songwriter and indie rock craftsmanship with post-rock and electronic instrumental structures. From 2012-2017, LETTTERS released four instrumental EPs: De Facto, BLHS, The Maths, and Fiscal Year, selections from which are featured on the retrospective Instrumentals album. After taking some time to focus on other musical endeavors (including fuzz-rock trio COMPLEXES),LETTTERS returned to the land of lyrics and vocals with 2019's Nothing Could Ever Happen. After releasing a mixtape in response to the pandemic (2020's Distancing) and 2022's Brightsided, LETTTERS is rounding out 2023 with his most accomplished album yet, titled "..." or "Ellipsis."

LETTTERS - ... (November 15, 2023)
A new collection of melodic, psychedelic pop that foregrounds the organic musicianship of multi-instrumentalist Robert Martin. The album's title "..." refers not only to the ellipsis, that miraculous punctuation mark signaling the perpetually inconclusive nature of thought and life that underpins all of LETTTERS' music, but also to the fact that this is the third proper album in the LETTTERS catalog after 2022's Brightsided and 2019's Nothing Could Ever Happen. Available digitally everywhere. |
LETTTERS -- Brightsided
Psychedelic, uptempo, and full of hooks, LETTTERS' full-length album Brightsided operates comfortably in the balance between digital and analog, familiar and bizarre, powerful and subtle. This followup to 2019's Nothing Could Ever Happen is the sound of LETTTERS firmly in command of his talents as a musician, songwriter, and producer. Available digitally everywhere and as a limited edition clear vinyl at Electric Fetus and Cheapo Records locations in the Twin Cities. |
